T.G.I. Tuesday is for Cruising and Sightseeing in New York City!

If New York if the “City That Never Sleeps,” you might be wondering how we get through weekdays.

Summer is too short to save all your partying and sightseeing for Saturdays, after all. And with so much to see and do in NYC, we recommend visitors to this city do as we do: say “TGI Tuesday” (Thank God it’s Tuesday!) and plan to head out on the town mid-week.  You’ll have better luck scoring a great table or tickets to a hit Broadway show. Plus the nightclub crowds are cooler and it’s easier to find a cab back to your hotel when you’re ready to call it a night!

You don’t have to tell anyone on board the Tuesday Night After Work Cruise that you weren’t actually pushing paper in the hours prior to boarding. Even if the hardest work you did all day was choose between room service and eating out, you will enjoy kicking back on this Tuesday Night NY Harbor cruise that’s not your regular show.

This three-hour boat cruise takes Tuesday night tipplers (did we mention the cash bar?) straight to all the sights that you want to see: the three iconic bridges that span the East River (Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg), Battery Park City, South Street Seaport, Governors Island, the new Freedom Tower, and — the highlight of the trip — the Statue of Liberty. And unlike your standard midweek day cruise, guests aboard the Tuesday Night After Work Cruise will enjoy music spun by a live DJ with their fave cocktail in hand (Workaholics please note: this is the only multi-tasking you should attempt while on vacation in NYC!).

The boat returns to the dock in Manhattan at 10 p.m. — early enough for the post-work crowd to avoid a hangover, but not too late for you to hit up a nightclub, late-night jazz bar or even just a few plates of tapas. Better yet, Top of the Rock has an elevator going up at 11 p.m. to see New York at night, absolutely best way to take a photo of The Empire State Building. Also, remember Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Times Square is open until 1 a.m., plenty of time to make Tuesday night epic. After all, just because your other boatmates have to get up early for another day behind their cubicle’s half-walls doesn’t mean you have to head back to the hotel!

*A big thank you goes out to Gray Line NY for its terrific shot of New York City from the Top of the Rock observation deck!

Can you think of any other reasons why Tuesday night is the best night to party (and sightsee) in NYC?
